Terms of Service
Effective August 17, 2026
1. Eligibility
SL Connections is intended only for people age 18 or older. You must provide accurate account information and may not use the service if your access has been suspended or banned.
2. Second Life relationship
SL Connections is an independent resident-focused service. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Linden Lab. Second Life, Linden Lab, Linden dollars, and related services remain subject to Linden Lab's own terms and policies.
3. Accounts and verification
You are responsible for your SL Connections credentials and activity. Avatar verification links a website account to a Second Life avatar UUID through an in-world terminal. You may not impersonate another resident or attempt to verify an avatar you do not control.
4. Conduct
You may not harass, threaten, stalk, exploit, defraud, impersonate, spam, evade moderation, distribute malware, solicit unlawful activity, or upload content you do not have the right to use. Community Guidelines are incorporated into these Terms.
5. Premium membership
Premium is prepaid in Linden dollars for the displayed membership period. Premium does not automatically withdraw Linden dollars. Payments made to an official SL Connections terminal are recorded for fulfillment, fraud prevention, and support. Features, pricing, and availability may change prospectively.
6. Moderation
SL Connections may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, ban accounts, block verified avatar UUIDs, and use proportionate anti-evasion controls when reasonably necessary for safety, security, fraud prevention, or enforcement. Attempts to evade a suspension or ban may result in additional restrictions.
7. User content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant SL Connections a limited license to host, display, process, and transmit that content as needed to operate the service. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit it.
8. Service availability
SL Connections is provided on an as-available basis during development and may change, experience interruptions, or lose functionality. Keep copies of content you consider important.
9. Safety
Matches, profiles, verification badges, and messages do not guarantee a person's identity, intentions, compatibility, or safety. Use judgment when interacting online or in-world and report abusive behavior.
